Where Your Membership Money Goes
Founded in 2021, WYORBA is the only statewide organization dedicated to serving the businesses, organizations, and individuals powering the outdoor sector. Our momentum is building, and your support helps strengthen the collective recognition that outdoor recreation is a driving force for Wyoming’s future.
Your membership reinforces that outdoor recreation has the potential to diversify our economy, energize our rural communities, attract and retain workforce, and help shape the places we want to live, work, and play. We’re committed to making sure decision-makers treat the outdoor industry like the powerhouse it is, and your membership dollars help make that possible.
Our work focuses on three core areas:
Advocacy: Championing initiatives that support Wyoming’s outdoor recreation businesses and interest groups, from local permitting to federal legislation.
Education: Connecting Wyoming businesses to tools, training, and resources that strengthen and sustain the outdoor recreation community.
Relationships: Facilitating partnerships and creating economic growth opportunities for Wyoming’s outdoor recreation industry.
Recent efforts include:
Pushing back against large-scale public land sales and transfers, including Senate Joint Resolution 2 and Senator Lee's Provision in the 'One Big Beautiful Bill.'
Lobbying for the passage of the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation & Tourism Trust Fund
Tracking the implementation of the EXPLORE Act
Advocating for policies that support the businesses behind the adventure:
